  Innovative ways of gifting

Art of GiftingGenerally people put in a lot of effort selecting the perfect present for someone they love, yet use very little imagination on how to give it. In many ways, the presentation of a gift is just as important as the item itself. Imagine buying your love a gold ring and leaving it on the kitchen counter with a note that says, "Thought you might like this." In contrast imagine tucking the ring inside a rosebud and presenting it to your sweet heart so that it "magically" appears as the rose blossoms in sunlight.

The next time you are giving a gift, consider presenting it in a creative way. Try these tips:

  • Tie a string all through the house, ending at the location where the gift is hidden. You can also attach small gifts all along the string as a teaser for the big present at the end. Try this and see a big smile light up your loved one's face!

  • Another way in which you could give presents is by having him/her find them. Write about seven or more clues, each leading to the other, until the final clue which leads to the hidden gift. Send your sweet heart on a hunting spree.

  • If you want to go all out on the "treasure hunt" theme, you can give a tape in the "Mission Impossible" style with instructions or clues on how to locate the missing gift.
  • There are dozens and dozens of ways in which you can transform the presentation of even an ordinary gift into a truly romantic and memorable occasion. Just a little bit of "thinking" can do the magic and you will realise how easy it is to charm a person!
