on the heels of an exhibition of paintings by Kondavalli
Seshagiri Rao, the Hyderabad Art Society
mounts its exhibition of grand finale with a
group show at the art gallery of Industrial Exhibition
Grounds.
Depicting the rural romance with strong, dark men
and women working in the fields, dwelling in thatched
huts and living in harmony with domestic animals
and birds, and more, has been followed up by this
fusion of sorts show, where many artists (as many
as 71) from different parts of the country are participating.
Sculptures, paintings and graphics are jostled for
space in this annual event. Select works were given
awards like gold and silver medals. Balaiah,
Venkateswara, Lomeash Trimbak, Swati Chaturvedi,
Vijay Kumar, Srinivas chari, Panduranga, Sarkar,
Narahari and Logisetty were some of the
award winning artists. The show, co-ordinated by
artist Subhash Babu, will remain open for
viewing between 4 and 8 p.m. till February 15.
