'Number
One' is a familiar term to Talwar's. For the last
five years they have been the number one dealers for Eicher,
Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) in India.
Since its inception in 1998, Talwar Hyundai has
sold more than 3000 cars out of 1,50,000 manufactured
by Hyundai Motors India. With this distinction Talwar
Hyundai not only becomes the number one dealer in A.P.
but also in the whole of South India.
Automobiles
are not new to Talwar's. For the last 25 years, they have
been in this business. The late K.R. Talwar was
the founder of the Talwar's. He started as an authorised
stockist for TATA spare parts and then went on
to take up the dealership for Eicher Light Commercial
Vehicles (LCVs). Later his son and grandson took the reigns
and moved it in the right direction. The Managing Director
of the Talwar group Sunil Talwar carried forward
the business. He visualised the growing car market in
Hyderabad and clinched the dealership of Hyundai
Motors. He proved right. Today Talwars are selling 100
- 150 cars per month. Of course, the success of car marketing
goes to the young and dynamic Saral Talwar, the
elder son of Sunil Talwar. After obtaining his
MBA in Finance from Symbiosis, Pune, he
took over the marketing responsibility of Hyundai cars
last year. He put all his efforts and professional skills
in to the business, which helped Talwar Hyundai to get
the number one Hyundai dealer position in Andhra Pradesh.
With this success he expanded Hyundai's operations to
Warangal to cater to the needs of the Telangana
districts.
Saral says the success behind the Talwars is the value
services they
offer to their customers. "At Talwar's we believe in
single window service wherein a customer can buy a car,
get financed, fit accessories and get it insured and registered,
all under one roof. Our service centre is situated on
Tadbund Road, short distance from the show room.
It is equipped with international standards. We also render
services to other cars which is a delight to the Santro
customers having their second or third car of other
makes," Saral explains.
Talwar's
always build and maintain good relations with the customers
by conducting various amusement contests like treasure
hunt rallies. They want to set up their second Hyundai
service centre in Hyderabad for the convenience of Santro
and Accent customers. Talwar's future plans include
setting up of another showroom in Kurnool. Saral
believes that, as Andhra Pradesh, particularly Hyderabad,
is a Diesel market, the new Sonata to be
launched in the multi-utility sector will further enhance
the sales. And he visualises bright future for the Hyundai
cars in India as they perfectly suit the road conditions,
urban as well as rural.
