Realising
the potential of four wheeler market in Hyderabad,
car manufacturers have been concentrating on the
'most happening city of India ' nowadays. It was
only a few days ago that Mercedez Benz selected
the city to announce the national launch of its
new model - the 'C class' Merc. And now comes
Daewoo. Showcasing its four new models to
be brought into Indian market by the year end, Daewoo
has launched its four new user friendly car
models Magnus, Nubira II, Lanos II and Tacuma
in Hyderabad in a grand style by conducting
an exclusive road-show at Nizam College grounds.
Commenting
on the preview of the new models, Mr. Y.C. Kim,
Managing Director & CEO, Daewoo Motors India
Limited said, "the mid size segment is expected
to grow at an average of 21% over the next five
years and is poised to lead the next phase of the
growth in the Indian car market. With four new models,
Daewoo Motors India offerings will cover a complete
spectrum in the mid-size as well as the luxury car
segments." Daewoo is obviously very enthusiastic
about knocking of its share of car market, what
with Matiz doing extremely well in the mini car
segment.
The four new models displayed at the road-show were
simply astonishing. Car lovers of Hyderabad thronged
the venue and thoroughly enjoyed the dazzling Daewoo
cars. "The response to the road-shows is
excellent. And the interest shown by the customers
to the new Daewoo models was really positive,"
said Mr Kim.

The Big Magnus ( great noble mighty) is a luxury
car being pitted in the so-far-untapped high class
segment, with a price ranging between Rs. 13 lakhs
and Rs. 15 lakhs. The Nubira
II (spread all over the world) is a superior technology
car priced around Rs. 9 lakhs and Rs. 10 lakhs.
The Lanos-II, (make us joyful ) is a compact car
with a deluxe sign and priced between Rs. 7 lakhs

'joyful life' is an MPV cum luxury passenger car.
"The cars are to hit Indian roads latest
by Deepavali" said Mr. Anil Medirata,
Sales Head of Daewoo motors.
The
company has initiated a 'Dealer Restructuring Program'
in seven major cities- Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai,
Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Kochi.
Out of the 25 dealerships in these cities, the company
has identified 8 dealerships as pilots to enhance
its sales and marketing efforts through upgraded
sales systems and service standards. Commenting
on DMIL's new marketing initiatives Mr. Kim said,
"based on the feedback we receive from these
pilots, the best practices will be shared and implemented
at other dealerships across the country. By this,
we are not just developing better dealers but also
business partners".
