IT
Training Carnival 2001, which concluded at
The Institution of Engineers, Khairatabad in
Hyderabad, certainly provided an arena of
get-together for the best IT Training companies
and thousands of aspiring IT professionals. The
event was one of the big events in Information Technology
(IT), IT-related services and training. It was the
largest exhibition of IT Training Companies and
consequently the largest source for students and
want to be professionals. The event provided a perfect
interacting platform for the best IT Training companies,
thousands of prospective students and business associates.
Many
bigwigs of the industry like Aptech, ECIL, Satyam,
Wintech, ComTech India, SKSoft, INS Ltd., V-can,
CTec, Pentasoft, Colorgrafx and Magna IT
which offer software training along with some
prestigious institutions like University of Illinois
were participants in this three-day event. The main
areas of focus were the web, e-commerce, wireless
communications, web & digital designing and
multimedia. Many IT training firms came up with
e-commerce course packages. The focus was on this
area, which is estimated to reach $350 billion
by the year 2003.
Wintech
offered many modules in the Microsoft Site Server,
the world's finest e-commerce application software,
and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) technologies.
ECIL, a Government of India enterprise,
offered many advanced computer courses in RDBMS,
Oracle, Developer 2000, UNIX, C, Java, OOPS, VB
and VC++ with a new course in VLSI
and VHDL skills. They have both long-term
and short-term courses with different timings. APTECH
came up with a comprehensive e-commerce package
'Aptech Certified E-commerce Program' along
with other regular courses. Many IT training companies
have inked agreements with the leading software
developers in the US.
The
IT Training Carnival certainly provided a platform
for all enthusiastic students to interact with many
IT training firms in the City. Hyderabad-best.com
spoke to some of the students and professionals
at the event, who are aspiring to get IT training
in the latest web and web-enabled technologies,
multimedia and designing packages. "I have
completed some courses in Web programming technologies
such as HTML, DHTML, XML, Java, CSS, with all those
Java Beans and Applets when I was in final year.
I am presently concentrating on the latest in the
field like Core Java with OOPS, Interfaces and Multithreading,
because they have a better future in the US or for
that matter anywhere in the world or in India in
the coming years," says Mr Bhanu Prasad,
who just completed his B.Tech. (Computers) from
Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT).
"I
came here just to know what are the courses available
in well-known IT training institutions. I am planning
to complete some courses in C, C++, VC++ and Java,"
said Mr Vasistha Bhargava, a 3rd year B.Tech.
from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University
(JNTU). "I want to take up some courses
in e-commerce related softwares. Therefore, I am
looking for information on e-commerce programmes
offered by many institutions like Aptech along with
details on other courses such as Visual Basic (VB)
and Java Scripts," said Ms Kavitha,
a final year B.Tech. From Osmania University.
"The
future of IT is in wireless communication. Hence,
I am interested in web-enabled wireless technologies,"
says Mr Dixit of CBIT. He recently completed
a project on 'Push Technology using WAP'.
Many of the students have shown much enthusiasm
in gathering information on the courses relating
to the 'Implementation of Server Side Programming'
techniques which can modify immensely the existing
web-enabled services like chatting, net telephony
and file transfer protocols. "I came here
to get some information on the latest designing
packages available in web designing, web animations,
special effects and 3D graphics," says
Hari N Kumar. He has his own designing firm
called 'Artwo Designers' at Narayanguda in
Hyderabad.
The event was really a great opportunity for the
IT savvy Hyderabadis to get all the software training
