The Jawarhar Bal Bhavan is a "para educational
activity center" that seeks to provide a creative environment
for all-round development of children. Among the activities
that children can choose from are vocal as well as instrumental
Indian music, classical dance, and drama. Vocal Carnatic,
Hinustani and light music are taught along
with instruments like the mrudangam, veena, tabla and
violin. The classical dance forms of Bharatanatyam
and Kathak are also taught here. Folk dances
including group dances are also taught. A special drama
section concentrates on teaching children the basics of
the drama and theatre. Children between the age group
of five to 16 years can join as members on a yearly basis
on making a total payment of Rs. 12. Special membership
programmes are also open to schools. Timings: 10:30 a.m-
5 p.m. Closed on Friday
