After
HITEC City, it is 'Hitech theatre' that
added a new look to the fast growing Hyderabad. Aimed
at providing the best and utmost standard quality service
to the cine stars, software professionals and others,
Hitech theatre was opened recently near HITEC city. A
Mini Deluxe-Luxury Theatre, it is supposed to be one of
its kind in Andhra, with another theatre in Mumbai
being the only other theatre which boasts of having similar
state-of-the-art technology.
While
Hyderabad boasts of some of the best theatres in the country,
this Hitech has got some special features which makes
it different from the rest. The theatre is more spacious
with comfortable seating all over. It has been equipped
with 13 exclusive seats in the balcony for which one has
to pay 75 rupees to watch the film and 300 more deluxe
seats, the tickets for which are priced at Rs. 50. "If
people want comfort, they need to pay for it," says
B.N. Hari Krishna Rao, the manager of the theatre
when asked about the high price of the tickets. The deluxe
seats here have a leg space of four-and-a-half feet, allowing
one to stretch their legs, which is generally not possible
in other theatres. One need not have to change positions
when others are walking through the row.
The
sound system used in this theatre is the latest version
of Dolby DTS (Digital Theatre System) i.e, CP 500,
which ensures extreme clarity to the viewers. "The
management has taken pains and brought a high quality
lens from Germany and special glass screen (to
place before the projector) from France to provide
real clarity," said V. Srinivas Rao,
operator of the theatre. And for special effects, the
theatre uses JBC speakers. "This is our fifth
dream project after Sandhya 70 mm, Sandhya 35 mm, Shiva
Sakti and Shiva Parvathi theatres in the twin
cities. The response from the public, software engineers
and especially the film industry towards this theatre
is quite excellent," said Mr. Revant Kumar,
M.D of Hitech theatre. About the starting
of this theatre, Revant says "When my father Mudupu
Chandraiah mooted the idea of building a theatre in
Madhapur, we all feared about the profits, but the response
shown by the public allayed those fears."
Above
all, one feature, which stands out is the 'personal service
system' provided for the viewers. From chat, coffee
to samosas, pop corn and cool drinks, everything will
be delivered to you in your seat. All you need to do is
take your pick. Also, you won't have to fear about tripping
over your soft drink bottle as each seat has a special
provision to hold the bottle. A handy facility indeed.
But technology and comfort apart, it's also a welcome
sign for the people residing in and around Jubilee
Hills, Banjara Hills and Madhapur. "Earlier,
we had to go faraway to watch a film, but thanks to Hitech
theatre, it is now very convenient for us to enjoy a film"
said J. Kripanand, a resident of Jubilee Hills.
