The
Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd,
known for its famous Amul Milk Products, has opened
its first ice cream parlour 'Amul Surabhi' at the
Ambience Family Restaurant in Himayatnagar,
Hyderabad.
Designed on Rajasthani ethnic style with vibrant
colours, it has the entire range of ice creams from Amul.
The varieties include cones, kulfis, candies, bars, family
packs and so on. It also has Amul's exclusive ice cream
balls which are a hit amongst the children.
Lokesh H Krishnan, in-charge of the ice creams
and frozen divisions, said that Amul Surabhi is the first
ethnic outlet in the entire country. Amul has plans to
open different ethnic parlours in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat,
Kerala, Manipur, with ethnicity of that particular state.
The parlours will have as many as 158 varieities of ice
cream with the prices ranging from Rs. 4 to Rs. 340. |

Here
is a small mind-bender for school children that promises
lots of fun. Cadbury's, the famous sugar confectionery
brand, has launched an exciting contest called 'Gollum
Magic Spell Contest'. Targeted at children between
6 and 14 years of age, the contest is currently
running in various cities across India.
Apart from having fun with alphabets, some lucky participants
will win exciting prizes. Guidelines of the contest
are imprinted under every lid of Gollum jelly packs.
The lids bear printed alphabets or icons of the prizes
such as planes, trains, cameras and boomerangs.
All these 'sports & fun' items can
be used within the confines of the room. Participants
will have to collect all the alphabets that spell 'G-O-L-L-U-M'
along with a picture, which can be redeemed for
a prize. The alphabets and icons will have to be sent
to The Central P.O. Box No. 11239, Marine Lines,
Mumbai.
The contest will run until February 28, 2001. Well,
