| A
PLACE FOR CONNOISSEURS OF SWEETS |
You
can often overhear quite a few of its customers
saying that they used to be brought to the shop
by their grandfathers or parents on their birth
days, and other joyous occasions. Intimately associated
with its customers, Bombay Halwa House has
been the favourite sweet shop for connoisseurs of
sweets for over three generations. Since 1948, Bombay
Halwa House is relishing the sweet lovers of the
twin cities with its delicious, mouthwatering sweets.
With
its well-furnished, clean, showrooms at Monda
Market and Begumpet, Bombay Halwa House
offers universally popular sweets from all over
India. The South Indian sweets like
balushah, mysorepak, Bengali sweets like
rasgollas, rasmalai, North Indian sweets
like barfees and pedas, dry fruit-based sweets like
kaju barfi, pista halwa and kaju halwa. All are
available here. And Bombay Halwa special butter
scotch burffee that tastes like ice cream is quite
famous among the sweet lovers."People wants
to eat new varieties of sweets and our shop has
all the varieties of sweets from across India,"
says Jai Kumar Pamnani of Bombay Halwa
House.
Bombay
Halwa has many firsts to its credit. They were the
first ones to introduce the concept of sweet show
rooms in the twin cities way back in 1965. When
their branch in Begumpet opened in 1989, they set
the trend of three star sweet shops where customers
could come with their families and do some leisurely
shopping for sweets. Bombay Halwa House is the only
sweet shop in the twin cities that offers over fifty
varieties of sweets and over thirty varieties of
Namkeens to suit different tastes and occasions
at affordable prices. And come festivals, they line
up festival specials. They also specialise in exporting
the sweets through special packets.
It
is no wonder that Bombay Halwa House is famous not
only all over India but abroad as well. In fact,
the late President Giani Zail Singh selected
it to cater to the "At Home" hosted
by Rashtrapathi Nilayam for the elected
representatives in 1985.
