The number of obese people in the country
is on an alarming increase, which hitherto, was unusual
a decade ago. This phenomenon is seen more in urban
areas, rather than in rural areas.
The most common cause for this is the changing food
habits and lifestyle. These days, walking and cycling
is a rare activity, compared to a decade ago. Elevators
have reduced the exercise of climbing the stairs. Many
modern, easy and convenient modes of transport have
evolved in urban areas, like scooters, busses and cars,
which curb physical activities like walking. The calories
resulting in net saving of energy, thus pave the way
for weight gain. This does not mean that modern facilities
must not be made use of, but care should be taken in
balancing the calory intake.
Following these tips would help you to avoid obesity
by maintaining a balance between intake and expenditure.
