Selling sports goods since 1955, SA Sports
has established itself as a premium sports goods
centre in the city. It was set up by Sardar Sampuran
Singh, who migrated to Hyderabad from Sial Kot
during the partition. SA Sports has all the sports
material required for cricket, volleyball, hockey,
swimming, gymnastics and for all other outdoor and
indoor games.
SA Sports also manufactures carrom boards and fitness
equipment. It supplies sports goods to SAAP
and many other government institutions. Some of
the famous cricketers like VVS Laxman, Arshad
Ayub, Vanka Pratap, Kanwaljeet Singh are its
regular customers. Members of international cricket
teams like Zimbabwe, New Zealand visited
this showroom during their trip to Hyderabad.
 When
asked, materials for which games are in demand in
the city, Satvinder Singh, its owner, says,
"Because of the unpopularity of cricket,
the demand for other sports goods like tennis and
badminton has increased."
