In
1973, a young man, Mr. Subhash Goyal, who
was the President of the Delhi University Student's
Union sowed the seeds of his vision by setting
up a travel centre for students visiting India.
The centre offered them various services while they
travelled across the length and breadth of India.
He called it 'Student Travel Information Centre'...
and thus Stic was born! From such humble
beginnings of a 'one table one chair' unit, today
Stic grew to a network of over 32 offices throughout
India. "The Hyderabad operations were started
more than 15 years ago," said Mrs. Anuradha,
Branch Manager.
"Mainly our Hyderabad branch operations
are limited to national and international flight
ticket booking and confirmations. But our group
provides all travel related services to individuals,
travel agents and tour operators," pointed
Mrs. Anuradha. The Stic Group has the following
independent divisions Airline Marketing, Airport
Handling, Cargo & Charters, Cruises & Hotel Marketing,
Education, Students & Youth Travel, Foreign Exchange
and Banking, etc.
According
to Mrs. Anuradha, Stic is the India's largest wholesale
airline marketing organisation. It represents some
of the world's best airlines as its General Sales
Agent. The airlines marketed by the Stic Group
are Srilankan Airlines, Continental Airlines,

Cargo & Charters Division also coordinates
interline cargo and helps in logistics, loading,

added Mrs. Anuradha. Cargo & Charters Division of
Stic, can provide charters from small executive
jets, helicopters to Boeing 747s or any type of
aircraft both for passenger travel and cargo.
Stic
was amongst the first few companies of India to
get a full-fledged money changer's license from
the Reserve Bank of India, after liberalisation
of the economy. This division issues American
Express Traveller Cheques, and can buy and sell
foreign exchange just like a bank. The Education,
Students & Youth Travel Division offers services
to students and youth wishing to travel anywhere
in India or abroad. It also helps students to enroll
in secondary, certificate, diploma, under/post graduate
