People say that marriages are fixed in heaven.
But when you meet
Mrs Vanaja Rao it gets a feeling that marriages
are fixed by her and her marriage bureau Quick
Marriage Fixation. Yes she has fixed a record
breaking 18000 marriages and in the last marriage
season alone she has fixed a whopping number of
450 marriages.
 As
you enter into her bustling office located in Ameerpet,
you can see the anxious faces of parents looking
for a suitable match for their daughters and sons.
But Vanaja Rao removes their anxieties and apprehensions
and promises them a suitable match with in a short
time. "Parents come to me carrying lot of hopes.
When I find a suitable match for their children,
they feel very happy. And that gives me happiness
and I feel that the mission of my life has accomplished,"
says Vanaja Rao.
 Lot
of people visit her Marriage Fixation Bureau every
day. "As people do not have ample time to look for
a suitable match, they generally visit our marriage
bureau. The marriage bureau with its wide network
solves the problem of match fixing without any difficulty.
You can find number of choices in our office. The
biodatas of grooms and brides-are classified qualification
wise and caste wise making the entire process very
easier," says Vanaja Rao. Marriage Fixation
Bureau has dedicated people who put their hundred
percent effort in arranging the alliances. Receiving
calls, checking e-mails from the abroad clients,
responding to the queries of the customers, the
officials are always on their toes through out the
day. But inspite of doing so much work Quick Marriage
Fixation does not charge any service charges on
its clients except the rich NRI's.
But are there any difficulties in fixing the marriage?
"The difficulty in fixing the marriage comes while
evaluating the facts given by the parties. Often
people do not provide proper data about the educational
qualifications, age and the job. Then we go about
checking the facts by asking them to show the certificates.
But the major problem comes to us while dealing
with the divorcees. Some of the divorcees do not
provide the certificate of divorce and tries to
get into another marriage. Our bureau is quite careful
in counter checking the facts provided by the people,"
points out Vanaja Rao.
 And
what is the latest trend in the marriage market?
"The demand for the software engineers in the
US has slightly come down since one and half years
due to dot com crash in the US. Girls are mostly
preferring boys who are well settled in India itself.
As for the guys, they are looking for well-educated
working women," elucidates Vanaja Rao.
Any future plans? "We are planning to start
the video conferencing facility soon. It will be
a boon particularly for the NRI's as they can directly
interact with the future life partner," explains
Vanaja Rao.
 Does
she have anything on her mind except marriages?
"My day begins with fixing the marriages and
also ends with it. But my biggest ambition is to
get into the Guinness Book of World Records by fixing
one-lakh marriages," says Vanaja Rao who has
been awarded Mahila Ratna Award on Women's Day.
The speed with which she is fixing the marriages
it looks that the record breaking day is not far
at all.
