CD FOR TOEFL CBT |
The
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) programme
provides English proficiency testing services for
international students planning to study in the United
States, Canada or other countries where English is
used in an academic environment. The purpose of the TOEFL
test is to evaluate the English proficiency of people
whose native language is not English. To reduce all the
fuss of the paper-based tests, TOEFL test was introduced
as a Computer-based Test (CBT) in July 1998
providing the aspirants, convenient scheduling and
comfortable testing environment. In 1998-99, more than
3,00,000 people registered to take the computer-based
test for TOEFL. The scores are required for purposes of
admission by more than 2,400 colleges and universities
in the USA and Canada.
