in Durian, an upmarket furniture shop located
in Banjara Hills. Set up by Prakash Jhunjhunwala
in April 2000, Durian in Hyderabad is one of
the five branches, others being in Mumbai, Calcutta,
Ahmedabad and Delhi. "We specialise in household
furniture made in wood as well as metal. The furniture
is imported from Italy, USA and Germany", says
Prakash Jhunjhunwala.
 Durian
has tied up with Vista Furnishing to provide
accessories like curtains, tablecloths et al. All
these are aesthetically and colourfully displayed
in the store. Prakash Jhunjhunwala has major expansion
plans. " Work is underway on our 2nd floor, where
we'll soon stock all kinds of office furniture,"
he says.
 Durian
will also open in Chennai, Bangalore and Vishkapatnam.
Until then, it's business as usual at Durian, and
if you ask Jhunjhunwala about it, he'ld reply with
a smile, "Business is good."
