One thing that enthralls one and
all in Heritage festivals is cultural programmes. Without
them, festivals never wear the festive look. In Andhra
Pradesh, especially Hyderabad, where people from
different traditions are living such kind of festivals
encompassing various traditional dances and cultural
events provides entertainment as well as information
about our rich culture.
Likewise, the recently held week long A.P. Culture
and Heritage festival that was conducted by Andhra
Pradesh Tourism Department, had a stream of traditional
activities all through. Tapettagullu, Buttabommalu,
Garagala dance, Perani dance, Bonala, Kolaatam,
Lambadi dance, Burra Katha and what not!
The festival had everything to attract the visitors.
Besides these cultural programmes, the Heritage fest
also hosted a 'Santha' (Exhibition of various
goods that reflects the tradition and culture of the
State). There were many stalls this time and offered
plenty of options to the visitor to take home the crafts
which were aesthetically made.
