AFFORDABLE COLOURS
 If
you are looking for art that is exclusive and affordable,
step into the Lakshana Art Gallery. Called Affordable
Art, the exhibition will display for sale; paintings,
graphics and terracotta sculptures of budding and renowned
artists.
According to Fawad Tamakant, a contemporary
artist, "In Hyderabad, budding artists rarely get an
opportunity to display their creations. The exhibition
is a platform for new-comers to display their works along
with established artists." Priced between Rs
2,000 and Rs 7,000, the exhibition gives art lovers an
opportunity to take home the pieces.
Apart from the works of Hyderabad-based artists, the display
features 35 painters and sculptors from Karnataka and
 Tamil
Nadu. The works of familiar artists like Fawad Tamakant,
D. Ananathaiah, Shahsi Rao Birader, Virendra Shah, D Ebenezer,
Sunder Singh, Hariraam and Bhagwan Chawan lends
a variety to this exhibition.
If you're an art lover, do drop in at the Lakshana Art
Gallery. The exhibition is open to the public daily from
11.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. and will continue till September
15.
