Camera
is a powerful tool which can bring out stunning and astonishing
images. Rising sun, beautiful rocks, emotions and feelings
of human beings, the innocence of a child and so on. Drishti
2001- a photographic exhibition organised by the final
year students of Bachelor of Fine Arts, JNTU brought out
some great pictures highlighting the nature and the feelings
and emotions of humans. The week long exhibition held
in the premises of JNTU college of fine arts had attracted
many visitors who thoroughly enjoyed watching the marvellous
photographs.
The
budding photographers from JNTU came out with photographs
which can be considered as creativity at its unbridled
best. The lighting, the location and the style all were
there in the photographs. The photographs were based on
a particular theme and each student came out with stunning
images in their respective theme. Some excelled in fashion
photography, some excelled in industrial photography and
some others excelled in advertising photography.
The first prize winner E Kanta Rao who excelled
in advertising photography underlined the role of a photographer
in marketing the product. Through his photographs, Kanta
Rao highlighted how a photograph can leave a lasting
impression about the product that is being advertised.
He brought out wonderful photographs of watches, shoes
and cigarette packets. The photographs clicked by Kanta
Rao was appreciated by many people who came to witness
the exhibition.
Fashion photography was other area where the students
of JNTU exhibited great skill while taking the pictures.
Fashion photography, which is in great demand nowadays
requires collective effort. A fashion photographer has
to take the help of makeup man and the costume designer
to bring out the hidden features of a man or a woman.
"Fashion photography is always a teamwork. It
takes lot of effort and time to bring out the best features
of a man or a woman. The make up, the dressing and the
lighting - all play an important role in fashion
photography," says Maliha Tarannum-an
upcoming fashion photographer. She has taken photographs
of a male model in different locales such as Arts College
(to bring a traditional tinge to the photographs) and
Medchal Road.
Apart from these, Drishti-2001 also included child portraits
by Vinil Kumar, abstracts by Ramesh Babu
photographs on historical buildings by Premanandan
and other photographs taken by Haleemunnisa, Shiv Kumar
and Kamalakar. |
