The
Blue Cross Junior Club, a movement for children up
to the age of 16 to acquire compassion towards animals
and develop a spirit of ahimsa, was launched by Governor
Dr C. Rangarajan at the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan.
The inaugural function was organised by "The Forum for
Better Hyderabad".
Fifteen children from Chaitanya Vidyalaya and Puja Public
School joined the newly launched Junior Club and took
a pledge to help and care for the animals. The Governor
presented them with the Club's official badges.
The Blue Cross Junior Club is sponsored by Nutrine Confectioneries
and is guided by Amala and the team of Blue Cross
of Hyderabad. The club offers its members 'Blue Cross
Junior Club Kit' containing the guidelines of the club,
forms for registration and activities one can take up.
The Blue Cross Clubs are open to children from all educational
institutions and citizen groups, local communities, and
non-political organisations. Every child who enrolls as
a member must pledge to love animals whole heartedly.
