LITTLE
AMBASSADOR
"Little
Ambassador from India". That is what the President
of Mauritius, Cassam Uteem called Sai Vamshee
Krishna Mogudala after listening to a remarkable
speech delivered by him on the 'Indian Golden Jubilee
Celebrations' held at Mauritius in 1997.
Today the little genius is 7 years old and is carrying
the name and fame of Andhra Pradesh on to the International
platform with his outstanding ability. He is an expert
in poetry and shloka (verses) recitation with
an amazing diction and pronunciation. Besides, he is
a master of classical dance and music.
Vamshee, an A-grade student studying in class II,
in the Hanuman Vyayam Shala Public School, Ram
Kote, Hyderabad, became a professional at the age
of four. On July 26, 1997, Vamshee enacted the Alluri
Seetha Rama Raju role before the Chief Minister Chandrababu
Naidu on the occasion of Alluri Seetha Rama
Raju Centenary Celebrations in the city.
The Chief Minister was so impressed by his talent that
he invited Vamshee to Mauritius for India's Golden Jubilee
Independence Day Celebrations. In 1998, he was sent
to Daman and Diu as a cultural delegate
to perform Bharata Natyam.
He is the youngest child delegate from the state to
participate in cultural seminars all over the world.
Most recently, the Telugu people of U.S enjoyed Vamshee's
dance performance on the occasion of Tana 2000 Regional
Conference, held in Arlington, Texas on
September 2 and 3.
"I want to become an IAS officer to encourage talented
children. And also hope to become as familiar as NTR
in acting and Kamal Hassan in dancing," says this
multitalented boy. He has the support and encouragement
of his parents Venkatesh and Aarthi.
Vamshee was the best student of Natya Kala Brahma
run by V.S. Rama Moorthy, who trained his
little student as a professional in classical dance.
His first stage performance was at the All India Level
Competition in Bharata Natyam conducted by Nritya
Priya in 1998 where he earned the gold medal.
He has also starred in Telugu films like 'Ganesh,'
a National award winning movie, and 'Peddha
Manushulu'. In both the films, his performance
was quite impressive. He is currently playing roles
