entrepreneur named, Mr. P.V.Ramprasad Reddy. Hailing
from the Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh is
a Commerce graduate. After six years of employment his
entrepreneurial skills gave a start to the Aurobindo
Pharma Ltd.
In 1989-90 he staretd Aurobindo Pharma Ltd as a small
scale bulk drug company with a capital investment of Rs.2.6
millions in association with a technocrat, Mr. K. Nityananda
Reddy. Aurobindo Pharma Ltd achieved 16 millions through
sales in the first year. There has been no looking back
since then. For over a decade now Aurobindo Pharma continues
to lead in pharmaceutical sales
Aurobindo 's current market capitalisation is Rs. 8000
millions. It is the biggest exporter of Andhra Pradesh
and also one of the top exporters of the country, specially
in the drug industry segment. His calibre has been one
of excellence. He has converted the single product company
into a multple produc ts
giant. Financial prudence and commercial brilliance are
his forte. A workaholic, he maintains a low profile for
himself and believes that organisational performance alone
should introduce him. His vision is to make Aurobindo
a Rs. 2000 crores giant in the next 3 to 4 years. Towards
this end he is focussed on the research and develoment
to meet the challenges of the patent regime and put Aurobindo
in the World drug's map prominently. He is happily married
to Mrs. Suneela Rani and blessed with two sons. |
