Engineers is an upcoming firm in the field of water
and wastewater treatment. It was started in 1997 by
Mr. Arun Kumar Sivan, a Mechanical Engineer,
having more than 12 year's experience in the sales and
service of industrial equipment like chemical processed
pumps, mechanical seals, glass lined reactors and ozone
generators. The Company's main aim is to provide the
customers with environmental friendly solutions in water
and wastewater treatment.

Engineer's R&D work began way back in the year 1997
on "Advanced Jet Aeration" - an efficient venturi based
aeration system for wastewater treatment to do away
with the conventional low speed mechanical aerator or
diffused aeration. The major advantage of the system
is that it is one of the most energy-efficient aeration
systems, requiring minimal maintenance compared to any
of the known aeration systems that are available across
the world today. The Company is conducting trials for
patenting the product.
In line with its environmental friendly solutions,
Iyan Engineers launched "Ozone Generators" in 1999.
Ozone is a gas, which is used for disinfection, removal
of colour and odour from water and air.  Ozone
Generators manufactured by Iyan Engineers are very robust
in construction and are one of the most energy-efficient
in the country. "In this short span of time we have
been able to sell more than thirty-five Ozone Generators
for water disinfection. We have also provided processed
water disinfection solution to a pharmaceutical firm,
United States Pharma - XXIII standards for orals and
injectable," said Mr Arun Kumar Sivan, Proprietor
of Iyan Engineers. "Franchises of Bagpiper, McDowell
& Kingfisher in Andhra Pradesh to name a few are on
our esteemed list of customers", adds Mr Arun Kumar
Sivan detailing the customers list. The water treatment
firm is also technically competent to provide solutions
in advanced oxidation by using hydrogen peroxide and
ozone for applications like hard 'COD' (Chemical Oxygen
Demand) and cracking.
The Company is now looking forward to diversify its
activities into manufacturing Industrial UV disinfection
systems for non-critical disinfection applications.
Iyan Engineers is into negotiations with a foreign company
for marketing of a patented water purification or desalination
system. This method of water purification, unlike many
of the existing methods does not require any pre-treatment
for TDS (Total Dissolved Salts) upto 5000 PPM (Particles
Per Million) in the present configuration and is capable
of achieving recoveries to the tune of 85-90%. R & D
efforts are on for applying this technology for desalination
of seawater (TDS of ~ 40,000 PPM) too.
